BionicVisionXR is an open-source virtual reality toolbox for simulated prosthetic vision that uses a psychophysically validated computational model to allow sighted participants to “see through the eyes” of a bionic eye recipient.
Jack Liu is currently an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is interested in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and building projects that solve real-world problems. He is particularly drawn to developing things that connect technology and human impact. Through the Bionic Vision Lab, he hopes to continue exploring computer vision and contribute to work that benefits those in need.
In his free time, Jack loves to go thrifting, watch movies, and read manga.
