We study how stimulation of the retina, LGN, and visual cortex produces artificial vision, and which biological details matter most for predicting the resulting percepts.

Ryan is an undergraduate student at UC Santa Barbara pursuing a BS in Physics. He is interested in vision science and sensory processing, and in particular research that combines experimental work with computational theory and modeling to understand how visual information is represented in real-world applications.
Outside of research, Ryan enjoys playing piano, teaching music to youth, and practicing Muay Thai.
