How does the brain extract relevant visual features from the rich, dynamic visual input that typifies active exploration, and how does the neural representation of these features support visual navigation?
Ryan is an undergraduate student at UC Santa Barbara pursuing a BS in Physics. He is interested in vision science and sensory processing, and in particular research that combines experimental work with computational theory and modeling to understand how visual information is represented in real-world applications.
Outside of research, Ryan enjoys playing piano, teaching music to youth, and practicing Muay Thai.
