NeuroXR Workshop at IEEE ISMAR ‘26

Join us on October 6, 2026 (tentative) in Bary, Italy for the 2nd International Workshop on Neurophysiological Signals, Affective Computing and Cognition in Extended Reality at IEEE ISMAR ‘26.

We are excited to announce NeuroXR 2026, the 2nd International Workshop on Neurophysiological Signals, Affective Computing, and Cognition in Extended Reality, held in conjunction with IEEE ISMAR 2026.

NeuroXR brings together researchers working at the intersection of XR, neuroscience, affective computing, neuroengineering, human-computer interaction, rehabilitation, and assistive technology. The workshop focuses on how immersive systems can sense, model, and respond to users’ cognitive, affective, perceptual, behavioral, and neurophysiological states.

We invite submissions on topics including neurophysiological and behavioral sensing in XR, real-time user-state inference, adaptive and closed-loop XR systems, neurofeedback and biofeedback, brain-computer interfaces, sensory augmentation, neuroprostheses, evaluation methods, reproducibility, accessibility, privacy, and responsible deployment.

The workshop welcomes regular papers and position papers, with accepted papers planned for inclusion in the ISMAR 2026 adjunct proceedings, subject to the conference’s workshop publication policy.

Submission deadline: July 5, 2026, 11:59 PM AoE.

Researchers interested in XR as a platform for studying, supporting, or augmenting brain and behavior are encouraged to submit.
