Julia Tomas-Barba is a visiting scholar from Spain whose research focuses on computer vision and its applications to assistive technologies.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering (2021) and Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (2023) from the University of Zaragoza, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering and Computer Science. She is also a member of the Robotics, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence Group. Her current work explores how computer vision can enhance the usability and accessibility of assistive devices.

Outside the lab, she enjoys sports, traveling, meeting new people, and attending live music events.
