This research explores the integration of computer vision into various assistive devices, aiming to enhance urban navigation and environmental interaction for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Eyob Teshome is a senior undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a SEEDS Undergraduate Research Fellow, Eyob focuses on the application of computer vision, machine learning, and database systems. He recently expanded his academic horizons through a study abroad program at the University of Melbourne, Australia, where he focused on database systems and artificial intelligence.
Outside the classroom, Eyob maintains an active lifestyle by working out and playing intramural soccer. He also plays the piano and enjoys taking care of his plants.
