Embedding simulated prosthetic vision models in immersive virtual reality allows sighted subjects to act as virtual patients by “seeing” through the eyes of the patient.
Isabella Gonzalez is currently a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a Biopsychology degree at UC Santa Barbara with a minor in Spanish. She is interested in low vision and neuroprosthetics. Isabella will pursue a career in the medical field and is especially passionate about providing healthcare to underserved populations. She currently is part of a medical brigade club at UCSB and volunteers at the hospital.
In her free time, Isabella enjoys yoga, ballet, and pottery.
