William Huang is currently a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a Computer Science degree at UC Santa Barbara. He is interested in topics within the fields of computational education, human computer interaction, and machine learning. Aside from working as an ULA for the CS department, he also works with the Education Department as a RA to build and research tools to promote scientific learning as well as technical literacy. In his free time, William loves working on projects that are honestly way too difficult and fun at the same time.

Justin Kasowksi transferred to UC Santa Barbara in 2016 after receiving associates degrees in Biological Sciences and Chemistry from Santa Barbara City College. In 2018, he graduated UCSB with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He is pursuing his PhD under Dr. Michael Beyeler in the Bionic Vision Lab, where he utilizes virtual reality and computer vision to model the perceptual experience of retinal prosthesis patients.

Mari Khachatryan is an undergraduate student pursuing a Biopsychology degree at UC Santa Barbara. She is interested in visual neuroscience especially the neural networks behind eye surgeries such as LASIK, Photorefractive keratectomy, and lens replacement surgery. In her free time, Mari likes to jog to Sands beach, try out new restaurants, and hang out with friends.

Sangita Kunapuli is a Computer Science MS student at UCSB as part of the BS/MS combined degree program. Her research interests include applications of computer vision, machine learning algorithms, and augmented reality. She is passionate about harnessing cutting edge technology to help people. In her free time, Sangita enjoys trying new recipes, going to the gym, and journaling with a cup of tea.

Deniz Lapsekili is an undergraduate student in Computer Science at UCSB. He is a former IBM engineer, ICPC coder, and research assistant in the Dynamo lab at UCSB. Deniz enjoys music profoundly. He plays several instruments and loves to produce. When he’s not grinding in the library, you can see him playing at UCSB parties. He also surfs quite a lot (still very bad at it though).

Tori LeVier is a fourth-year undergraduate pursuing a B.S. in Psychological & Brain Sciences at UC Santa Barbara and lab manager in the Bionic Vision Lab. Tori is interested at the intersection of social cognitive neuroscience, perception, and assistive technology. Outside of managing the lab, she is an RA with the LEAP Neuro lab (Lapate), where she is investigating the temporal coding of dynamic emotional experiences using behavioral and electrophysiological methods.

Luke Li is currently an undergraduate student pursuing a Computer Science degree at UC Santa Barbara.
